KF Records Best of 2011 List and Holiday Hours

2011 has come and gone and it has been an amazing year for KF Records!
We saw the resurgence of the sons of Afro-Beat with the Grammy Nominated Femi Kuti and Seun Kuti and the Egypt 80 releases. Our next African reissue series began with The Lijadu Sisters , we put out an EP collaboration with Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and the Phantom Family Halo, Shilpa Ray and Her Happy Hookers toured the states twice in support of Teenage and Torture, AgesandAges released Alright You Restless and took SXSW to heart and Lumerians were literally too much power for the Austin Power Plant at Psych Fest. Gary Lucas impressed the NY Times with his new The Ordeal of Civility release. Ash Black Bufflo released their debut instrumental landscape. Patrolled By Radar made their LP debut with us this year and are writing their follow-up in 2012.
It’s been a great year and we look forward to bringing you great releases from Gregory Rogove , the continuation of the The Lijadu Sisters reissue series, and the next two full-lengths from The Phantom Family Halo .
During the holiday break, our offices and shipping department will be closed from now thru January 2nd. December 22nd will mark the last day that items will be shipped to ordering customers. We will be back in full swing on January 3rd.
