    Dude, we have the Knitting Factory Brooklyn venue right downstairs. We can practically beam ourselves down there. It’s beer o’clock early around here, most days!

  5. What does KFR designer Zach like to eat for lunch?

    He’s vegan, so generally grass and tree bark.

  6. How do you guys deal with everyone wanting to play their own music in the office at once?

    Some people opt to wear earphones, and sometimes we have outright music battles. But mostly we’re just passive aggressively turning our own speakers up louder and louder until it’s all one cacophony.

  7. How do I become a rockstar?

    If you’re asking about submissions, you can check our policy here. But generally, anyone who follows us on facebook or twitter eventually becomes a superstar.

  8. What if I want/need to return an item I’ve purchased from you?

    We will replace any factory-defective item purchased from us with a fresh copy of that title. Please contact us at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and tell us the artist, title and format of the defective item, what’s wrong with it, and when you bought it. Once the return has been approved by email, send it back to the contact address on this page – we’ll confirm that the item sent back is defective and then send you a replacement copy.

    If you gave someone a purchased item as a gift and it turns out it’s something they already have, we will accept the unopened/unplayed item for credit on a future order (or simply refund, depending on the circumstances). The same policy as above applies — email us at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and inform us of your desire to return the item, when you purchased it from us, etc.

    Unfortunately, we are not able to accept returns on an item because you don’t like it once you hear it.

  9. What Is Your Shipping Policy?

    All orders shipped from Knitting Factory Records will be sent via UPS regardless of whether the destination is domestic or international. Customers should select the shipping option (Ground, 2nd Day Air, Next Day Air) that best suits their needs. Shipping costs are calculated by the weight of the product plus the weight of the shipping materials. Knitting Factory Records makes every effort to ensure that our products are shipped at the lowest reasonable cost to customers, while also providing the most protection possible for the goods. Knitting Factory Records is not responsible for damages incurred during shipping, though we will replace any factory-defective items purchased from our store.

  10. What is the relationship between Knitting Factory Records and Partisan Records?

    Partisan Records is like a very nice, even mostly clean, brother to us.

  11. Why in the world am I having such a hard time downloading my songs?

    This issue is 99.9 percent of the time caused by one problem: Internet Explorer. We personally recommend, not only for our store/website but for all your internet browsing needs, that you download Mozilla Firefox. Once you have done that and if you have already placed your order and are receiving a message along the lines of “compressed (zipped) folder is damaged or corrupt”, open your brand new web browser, log back into our site and try again.
